A Note From.....

Dear Friends,
I would like to share an amazing message I received through our new website!
Enjoy!

Educationally Yours!
Mrs. Lubeck-Ceffalia

Message:
I lived in the Cooper Park Houses and I attended P.S. 132 from 1957 til 1962. From there my family moved to Englewood N.J ending up in Teaneck N.J. I eventually made my way to Columbia U. (after a short stay at the U.S. Naval Academy) to study philosophy in 1970. I am giving my academic history to let you know that I believe that whatever academic success I achieved I did so because of a fire for learning that was ignited in this school inside me for Science and Math in those early days in the 50's. I want to thank you. And, as I read this web page, I am very very happy to see that this school continues to provide a great primary education to young people who will take what they've experienced here into whatever field they choose to work in just like I did.

Thanks you very much! And keep up the good work!

A Note From.....

Dear Friends,

Please be advised that due to the extension of the registration period for public school Pre-K programs, the NYC DOE has decided to extend the Gifted and Talented Assessment process for Pre-K students. This week, information and Request for Testing forms will be mailed to all parents/guardians of Pre-K students. If a parent/guardian wishes to have his/her child tested, the Request for Testing form (RFT) must be returned to school no later than February 9, 2009. Please note: Pre-K students already scheduled for testing should not resubmit the form.
Sample tests are included in the Gifted and Talented Program Test Information handbook and will be made available to all parents who submit a Request for Testing form. If you have any further questions, please contact the Main Office and ask for Mrs. Perrone.

Educationally Yours!
Mrs. Lubeck-Ceffalia
